giving your 3D printer some personality and SMS notifications

can't help but to give the printer some of the.. less useful upgrades :)  here be my pet octopus  i know i should not leave the printer alone for any significant amount of time, those things are sadly flammable. however, it's much easier to keep an eye on it with the webcam. i've seen some people are using growl to complete the remote monitoring setup. the iphone client for growl, however, is 2 bucks. and 2 bucks are 2 bucks, why pay if you can have something for free... i added a script to send me an sms and a picture every time the print finishes (so that i can clean up the bed and start the new print).  the good thing is i'm actually receiving messages from my pet octopus, like this -   the downside is that it's (probably) slower than the push notifications, but hey.. you can find the scripts and the instructions here - https://hexnumbers.github.io/OctoPrint/notifications
